Join Arts for ACT Gallery, located at 2265 First Street in downtown Fort Myers on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 5 to 9 pm for the opening reception and Meet the Artist for the November Fort Myers Art Walk. This month, ACT Gallery will feature “Borderline Conceptions” the art of Lesley Morrow. Featured Artist – Lesley Morrow
Lesley Morrow's ‘Borderline Conceptions’ exhibit shines a light on the multifaceted female experience, showcasing the unbridled strength and profound depth of women through evocative portraits. This captivating collection not only honors the beauty of femininity but also encourages self-reflection and empowerment. Through the body of her work, you can see a roadmap, almost a narrative, of the pieces of her psyche in such a way as to find her own core strength. Focused on photography, Lesley attended The School of Visual Arts in New York City and City College of San Francisco, California. After a twenty-year break she turned back to art and found her voice, painting. Lesley Morrow is an artist in residence at the Union Artist Studios in Fort Myers, Florida where she now breathes her passion through acrylic, oil, airbrush and mixed media. She has exhibited in local SW Florida Galleries including the Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center, Arts for Act, DAAS, Space39, the Loft, Chico’s TAGA Gallery, Island Conclave, Bootleggers Alley Gallery and the Alliance of the Arts. Her work can also be found in public and private collections locally and internationally.
This exhibit continues through December 2, 2024.
